Our Ol’ West tour and adventure begins with your arrival in Las Vegas and then moves through the beautiful national parks of southern and central Utah. The first two national parks are Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park. Though very different, the rock formations are both the current remains of ancient seabed's and date from more than 100 million years ago. Thereafter we will visit Grand Canyon National Park – North Rim.

Grand Canyon TripAfter these two parks we will travel east to discover the visual treasures of Arches National Park (18 day trip only) and Canyon Lands National Park. The erosion and weathering effects of nature have sculptured astounding formations that are viewable from either or minibuses or on foot.

Toward the end of the first week we will then drive south into Arizona and visit Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. In this national park, ancient wave action and erosion has left huge rock formations and monoliths, and this area was used extensively in the 50’s and 60’ Hollywood western movies.

Finally, we will drive to Marble Canyon, Arizona, for a briefing from the rafting company.

Our actual departure onto the Colorado River is on day seven from Lee's Ferry, Arizona. The boat trip through the Grand Canyon is unique and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The canyon was carved by the force of the Colorado river over millions and millions of years and, the river is more than 5,200 feet below the surrounding desert plain. From the beginning of the trip to the end below the tumultuous Lava Falls we will raft almost 200 miles and pass through 205 rapids – large and small. At the end of the trip, we return to Las Vegas.
